Edges are hand burnished to a smooth finish

This is pure vegetable tanned leather with a rustic appearance that will turn silky smooth and dark through natural patina change with use

Badalassi Carlo Pueblo Veg Tan Leather
This beautiful leather is from the Badalassi Carlo Tannery in Tuscany. It is pure vegetable tanned leather dyed through shoulders with very unique rustic appearance. The leather has slightly rough feel, however when this has been used over time it will naturally become silky smooth and have a natural patina.
The leather can be burnished with a soft cloth which will bring out the oils and become smoother and darker in look.

What is Veg Tan leather?
Short for vegetable tanned leather, which is a process that uses the naturally occurring tannins in certain plants and tree bark to create a leather that is chemical free and better suited to carving and stamping
